Thank you from Angie

The Bluestone family is very touched by the outpour of generosity and support. A memorial service will be held in a small chapel on Friday September 14th, 2007. My family and I can't begin to express our sadness and grief over the death of Adam. He touched our lives as few do. From the first time I met Adam I called him friend. After 40 years of smoking I am now in recovery. Adam told me about the medication Chantix and I am starting my 4th week today.
My family and I have not known Adam for very long but Adam had a way of making you feel like you'd been friends forever. My 15 year old autistic nephew will continue to benefit from Adam's work and for this my family and many others will be forever grateful.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Adam's family. We are so sorry for your loss. I, for one, don't know what God was thinking when he took Adam from you,us and the world. I will, however, try to find comfort in knowing that everything happens for a reason whether that reason is clear or not.
God Bless You Adam's loved ones and thank you for sharing him with us.

Sincerely yours,
Yvonne Brown Person,
Julie Brown and
Matthew Brown-Sage of Highland High School in Lancaster, CA.

As I read about the memorial service planned for Friday I come to the realization that many of us may also be preparing for Rosh Hashanah. As we look back at the year we will remember the loss of our friend Adam and perhaps others we may have lost during the year. I hasten to say These Days of Awe also teach us to be grateful for the good times we have experienced in the year past. Remembering the good times we spent with Adam over the last year can help to bring comfort in these trying days ahead as we try to grow from the lessons of the past year and envision tomorrow.
